NYC - Brunching Spots

NYC - Brunching Spots

NYC holds a special place in my heart. I've been fortunate enough to go a few times over the past couple of years for both work and hols, and it never disappoints with so many exciting new places to hit up on each visit.

I've written so many lists of recommendations in the past for friends (whether they wanted it or not!) so decided to break it down into a little series of posts, starting with....BRUNCH!

Cafe Henrie

This little cafe is just too cool. If you're into design or just like pretty colours then this is the place for you. Firstly the menu itself is just pink perfection and then the food is all salady buddha bowl, bacon egg sandwich goodness. Its in the Lower East Side and you should be prepared to be surrounded by hipster arty kids.

By CHLOE.

This place is like so hot right now. We visited the branch on Bleecker Street, the food is a combination of salads and fast food but all vegan, and it tastes seriously good. You will be queuing out the door and surrounded by annoying people (like me!) instagramming their food, but it's so worth it. Even Matt who generally won't touch a meal if it doesn't involve meat was impressed. Skip the mac n cheese though, some things just aren't the same 'healthy'.

Mother of Pearl

I LOVE this place, its tiki/polynesian themed and the decor is spot on, we're talking palm print wall paper, floaty white linen curtains and an aqua tiled bar. We went along for brunch and I ordered the avocado french toast, combining 2 things which maybe shouldn't work but definitely do. I also had to order the most instagrammed cocktail in NY, the shark eye - a cocktail that looks like a shark attack, thats pretty awesome.

Two Hands

Two Hands has an Aussie, beach vibe and was perfectly positioned down the road from our Soho hotel. We stopped by after an early morning run across the Brooklyn Bridge, and it gave the clean eating brunch we were looking for, lots of avo obviously.

The Butchers Daughter

This is such a great spot for people watching in Nolita, on the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy. Lots of healthy options to choose from, and they are particularly known for their juices.

Jack's Wife Freda

This is such a favourite, I had been stalking them on Instagram for some time before my first visit to NY, and they did not disappoint. There is a fun, friendly vibe in their Soho cafe and their madame freda is the perfect breakfast treat.

Katz Deli

I had to include a bit of a touristy favourite, and if like me you're a When Harry Met Sally fan then Katz Deli on the Lower East Side is a must visit. They even have a sign above the table they sat at! Plus just look at THAT pastrami.

There are so many amazing brunch options to choose from, have you got any favourites? Do comment below and let me know :)
